Product questions
Common questions about copper gutters
Half-round is the traditional look and drains cleanly; it hangs on visible hangers. K-style has a flat back and an ogee front, carries more water for its width and takes hidden hangers. Most houses built after the 1960s have K-style; older houses and metal roofs often suit half-round.
16 oz is the common residential weight and is what most houses need. 20 oz is thicker and stiffer, for long runs, large roof areas, commercial work or anywhere the gutter takes snow and ice loads.
Walk the house and measure each run along the fascia. Add the runs for total linear feet, then count outside corners, inside corners, ends that need a cap and the number of downspouts. That is everything the configurator asks for.
