Details
About this piece
Box gutter has a flat bottom, square sides and a flat face, so it reads as a crisp horizontal line along the eave. It carries more water than a half-round of the same width and suits modern houses, parapets and commercial buildings.
We brake-form each length in 16 oz or 20 oz copper in our Cleburne shop, with a hemmed front edge for stiffness. Box end caps are listed with the end caps; tell us the corners and we make box miters to match.

Box gutters and liners
Common questions
Half-round is the traditional look and drains cleanly; it hangs on visible hangers. K-style has a flat back and an ogee front, carries more water for its width and takes hidden hangers. Most houses built after the 1960s have K-style; older houses and metal roofs often suit half-round.
16 oz copper (0.0216 in) is the usual residential weight. 20 oz (0.027 in) is thicker and stiffer, for long runs, large roof areas, commercial work or anywhere the gutter carries snow and ice.
5 inch gutter suits most houses with modest roof areas. 6 inch carries noticeably more water and is the common choice for larger or steeper roofs; 7 inch is for big roof areas and commercial work. If you are replacing gutter, match what is there unless it overflows.
By the linear foot, with a 10 foot minimum per order line. We cut the run to the lengths you list in your order notes, so measure each run along the fascia and round up to the next foot.
