Elbows
Elbows carry the downspout in from the gutter outlet, around ledges and out at the foot. Round elbows come in five standard angles; rectangular elbows bend across the wide face (A style) or the narrow side (B style).

Common questions
Number 3 (75 degrees) is the standard for most downspouts. Use number 4 (90 degrees) where the pipe must turn square, and the shallower numbers 0 to 2 for gentle offsets.
An A-style elbow bends across the wide face, to bring rectangular pipe out from the wall. A B-style bends across the narrow side, to jog it sideways along the wall.
