Details
About this piece
Elbows are numbered 0 to 4 by how far they turn the pipe: number 0 is 30 degrees, 1 is 45, 2 is 60, 3 is 75 and 4 is 90. The 75 degree number 3 is the one most downspouts use, because it carries the pipe in to the wall and out at the foot without a hard right angle.
Each elbow is crimped on one end to slide into the next piece, and fabricated in our Cleburne shop in 16 oz or 20 oz copper in 3 or 4 inch round. Two elbows make an offset around a ledge or a sill.

Elbows
Common questions
Number 3 (75 degrees) is the standard for most downspouts. Use number 4 (90 degrees) where the pipe must turn square, and the shallower numbers 0 to 2 for gentle offsets.
An A-style elbow bends across the wide face, to bring rectangular pipe out from the wall. A B-style bends across the narrow side, to jog it sideways along the wall.
